A map of the Dixie Highway, from 1923, is shown below. Note that it isn’t a single highway but has various alternate routes. If you want to learn more about the history of this highway, I recommend an excellent article in the Fall-Winter 1994-1995 issue of the Journal of the Society for Commercial Archeology. It’s available here (for $6).
